NEWS & NOTABLES

SAN FRANCISCO— EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants, a retail property, casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, hired Doug Bull to the firm’s Construction and Design Solutions team in San Francisco as a vice president. Bull will be responsible for new business development, program design and management, marketing and coverage placement, and will oversee EPIC’s delivery of products, services and solutions to clients in the construction, design and real estate industries. An industry veteran whose career spans nearly 30 years, Bull joins EPIC from Aon Risk Insurance Services West Inc. in San Francisco, where he was an Account Executive/Broker in Aon’s Construction Services Group. There Bull was responsible for production, marketing, placement, client relationships, and contract review for mid to large size construction and real estate accounts.

SEATTLE—Urban Villages Inc., an award-winning real estate development and property management company, has hired seasoned commercial real estate professional and longtime Seattle resident, Angi Davis. Davis brings a wealth of experience in the urban real estate, brokerage and construction industries, having played key leadership roles on numerous high-profile and multi-million dollar developments including the iconic Merrill Place in Pioneer Square and Starbucks world headquarters at Starbucks Center. The news comes on the heels of announcement made by Urban Villages in December about the development company’s significant historic revitalization project in Seattle’s Pioneer Square. Under the scope of the project, Urban Villages will retrofit and otherwise revitalize three marquee buildings in Pioneer Square, transforming a full city block into one of Seattle’s most compelling destinations. Davis will serve as the project manager. Urban Villages’ multi-year revitalization will include the Manufacturer’s Building at 419 Occidental Ave., the Westland Building at 100 S. King St., the former Schoenfeld Furniture building at 115 S. Jackson St., and a re-imagined and activated alleyway with retail spaces, gathering areas and outdoor events planned throughout the year. The result will be an exciting and unique entertainment, work, residential, retail and dining hub that breathes new life into the south end of the neighborhood.
