80 Broad St Demos will occupy the entire fourth floor in a new 16,500-square-foot lease at 80 Broad St., in Lower Manhattan.

NEW YORK CITY—Public policy organization Demos.org has signed a new, 16,500-square-foot lease at 80 Broad St. in Lower Manhattan. The 423,403-square-foot, Class A office building is owned by Broad Street Development. The tenant, was represented in the transaction by JLL EVPs Ellen Herman and Jason Schwartzenberg. The building owner was represented in-house by Ramona Huegel, director. Under the 10-year lease, Demos will occupy the entire fourth floor at the building. The firm is relocating to the building—which also is known as the Maritime Exchange Building—from its previous offices at 220 Fifth Ave.

RFR Retail has signed a new 15,000-square-foot lease with celebrity French Chef Joël Robuchon at 100 E.  53rd St., a luxury residential tower developed by RFR and China Vanke Co. Chef Robuchon’s fine dining concept Joël Robuchon Restaurant and a gourmet marketplace are scheduled to open in late 2017 taking the full ground and second floors of the luxury condominium designed by renowned British architect Norman Foster’s Foster + Partners. The lease was sourced by Steven Kamali of Hospitality House.
