200 Elm StSTAMFORD, CT—RSM has signed a new 27,800 square-foot lease at 200 Elm St. downtown here. The RSM organization will occupy a wing of the second floor Class-A office property, which is owned by Building and Land Technology. Steve Baker of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the transaction. The landlord’s representation, if any, wasn’t clear at press time.

Walgreens-njPHILADELPHIA—Matthew Gorman and Michael Shover of CBRE’s Net Lease Property Group here announced have arranged the sales of a free-standing Lowe’s and Walgreens for a combined total of over $25 million. Gorman and Shover represented the seller, a regional developer here, and procured the institutional buyer in the Lowe’s transaction, and represented the seller of the Walgreens, a regional developer based out of the Lehigh Valley section of Pennsylvania. The 168,599-square-foot Lowe’s, a co-anchor to Cedar Hill Shopping Center, is located at 144 NJ-73 in Voorhees Township, NJ, while the newly constructed 12,705 square-foot Walgreens sits at 339 Matawan Rd. in Matawan, NJ, immediately off of exit 120 of the New Jersey Garden State Parkway.

dano warehouseSTAMFORD, CT—Dano Enterprises has committed to a 22,968-square-foot industrial/warehouse lease at River Bend Center/4 Omega Dr. here. The occupier is relocating its operations from 180 Harvard Ave. The agreement was arranged by Michael Nelson of CBRE Group. Jonathan Turner of River Bend Center represented the ownership in the lease negotiations.

Rose GardensHACKENSACK, NJ—The Kislak Company has brokered the sale of Rose Garden Apartments, a 40-unit apartment complex here, in Bergen County, for just over $6 million. Kislak marketed the property on an exclusive basis. Sales associate Andrew Scheinerman represented the seller and VP Jonathan Greenberg represented the purchaser. “At $152,500 per unit, the sale of Rose Garden Apartments is the second highest per unit price achieved for a garden apartment complex in Hackensack,” Scheinerman says.

Hanson’s Kenneth Lundberg, Steve Pastor and Patrick Lennon represented the landlord, West Forest Ave Industrial. in the transaction. Michael Schipper of Blau & Berg represented the tenant.

NEW YORK CITY—Newmark Holdings has announced that Thrive Global—Arianna Huffington’s new venture—has signed a five-year, 3,000-square-foot office lease at 100 Crosby. The six-floor, 120,000-square-foot office building sits in SoHo, near Prince Street and Broadway. Donna Vogel of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the ownership.

PHILADELPHIA—Looking to capitalize on a growing market here, JLL has brought on Brett Grifo as an SVP in its local office. He joins the firm after spending seven years at a public REIT, where he led acquisition, disposition and joint venture transactions totaling $2.2 billion. At JLL, Grifo will focus on investment sales of office product along with managing director James Galbally and SVPs Erin Miller, Chad Orcutt and John Plower.

NEW YORK CITY—Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City has named Matt Borstein, the global head of commercial real estate for Deutsche Bank Securities, to its board of trustees. In his role, he is responsible for all commercial real estate debt origination and principal investment. Borstein joined Deutsche Bank in 2010 after serving as head of Wachovia’s real estate high yield distribution platform.
