NJ Kislak award winnersWOODBRIDGE, NJ—The Kislak Company has revealed the recipients of its 2016 sales awards. SVP Jeff Squires received the Producer of the Year award, VP Robert Squires received the Sima Kislak Jelin Salesperson of the Year award while sales associate Davis Briones received the Rising Star award. Last year, Squires completed 15 transactions in New Jersey totaling more than $45 million. Among them was the $11.25 million of Colonial Square Mall, a 62,666-square-foot shopping center located on Route 22 in Green Brook, New Jersey. Squires also represented the seller and purchaser in the $5,925,000 transaction of Maple Bay Estates which consists of 24 luxury units in Elizabeth, NJ. The Sima Kislak Jelin Salesperson of the Year award is named after the late Mrs. Jelin, who was an executive, key mentor, and motivator to countless salespeople; and the daughter of the firm’s founder, J.I. Kislak. Squires completed 15 transactions totaling more than $40 million last year, including the Family Dollar Plaza Shopping Center in Bayonne for nearly $10 million and a 222-unit portfolio in East Orange for almost $20 million. Briones joined Kislak in 2014 and in 2016, he completed five transactions totaling more than $10 million, including the close to $6 million sale of The Gateway in Bayonne.

Shippan_landingSTAMFORD, CT—George Comfort & Sons has completed a new lease with Octagon at Shippan Landing, an office complex here. The tenant has agreed to move its global headquarters and occupy 57,009 square feet at 290 Harbor Drive for 11 years.  The subsidiary of The Interpublic Group of Cos. will relocate from Norwalk, CT. A joint venture comprised of George Comfort & Sons and Angelo Gordon & Co., Shippan Landing consists of six buildings of Class-A office space on 17 acres at the Stamford Harbor waterfront. Octagon was represented in the transaction by Mike Norris and Chris Helgesen of Cushman & Wakefield. George Comfort & Sons was represented in-house by Peter Duncan, president and CEO, and Dana Pike, SVP, with assistance from CBRE.

NEW YORK CITY—SJP Properties has signed office lease agreements with E-Trade and digital business consulting and information technology company Synechron, Inc. at Eleven | X [formerly 11 Times Square]. The 1.1-million-square-foot office and retail tower is owned by SJP Properties in partnership with PGIM and Norges Bank. E-Trade will relocate its headquarters to 31,234 square feet at Eleven | X during summer 2017. Synechron will occupy 11,831 square feet in the tower. E-Trade was represented in its lease by Mark Ravesloot, Scott Sloves, Michael Wellen, Zachary Weil and Elaine Armstrong of CBRE while SJP was represented by the JLL team of Paul Glickman, Mitchell Konsker and Dan Turkewitz. Synechron was represented in its lease by Michael Tesser and Sheena Gohill of Colliers, with JLL’s Glickman, Konsker and Diana Biasotti representing SJP in the transaction.

Shippan_landingCAMBRIDGE, MA—NGKF Capital Markets has completed the sale of 727 Massachusetts Ave. in the Central Square neighborhood here to Chevron Partners for $14 million. Executive managing director Geoffrey Millerd, managing director Justin Smith, associate director Paul Penman and financial analyst Christopher Peterson of the NGKF Capital Markets Boston team oversaw the transaction on behalf of Rink Realty. The transaction marks Chevron Partners’ fourth acquisition in the Boston market.
