LAS VEGAS-The recession in the 1990s was worse because of the types of jobs that we lost during that period, and the fact that we had a lower population then, says Terry Bortnick, president of Argent Retail Advisors. He spoke with GlobeSt.com's Ian Ritter at the recent ICSC RECon show.
They also discussed:
- Tenants asking for rent concessions.
- Retailers ramping up expansion plans.
- Asking rents that landlords can now command.
