Commerce Title, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Centex Corp., and Web Real Estate, headquartered in Addison, are teaming on a joint marketing venture for insurance and closing services. Jack Diamond, chairman of the board for West Real Estate, tells GlobeSt.com that another alliance is in the works. For now, that's all he's saying about the upcoming announcement by the local firm, founded to develop efficient use of the Internet for commercial real estate transactions.
Commerce Title's commercial team, led by Sue Jackson, handles complex closings, such as multi-state transactions, portfolio disposition, 1031 Exchanges, reverse exchanges and bond closings. The client base includes larges publicly traded office and industrial REITs, multifamily developers, opportunity funds and pension fund advisers.
Another high-tech real estate alliance has tied RealPage Inc., headquartered in Carrollton, to Houston-based Alliance Residential Management, which signed on as a customer for the OneSite suite of services. Alliance has 56,000 apartments in 200 properties in Texas and the Midwest.
