Symon Communications Inc. signed the lease extension and expansion with San Diego-based Shidler Group. The provider of real-time visual messaging and alert systems re-upped 8,688 sf and added 4,367 sf at the 500 North Central Expressway.
Malcolm Ross of Jones Lang LaSalle's Dallas office bargained the terms for Shidler, owner of the 235,058-sf office building. Lance McIlhenny of the Staubach Co. in Dallas represented the tenant. Shidler bought the mid-1980s-era office building in 1999.
In another expansion, Nicholas & Montgomery, a CPA firm, has tapped 4,391 sf at 12720 Hillcrest, a 170,090-sf office building owned by St. Paul Properties. The firm will relocate from 8226 Douglas Ave.
Jim Turano of Dallas-based Henry S. Miller Commercial acted on the tenant's behalf. St. Paul Properties used in-house broker Bill Bond to negotiate its terms for the Dallas office building.
