WesTower is planning to occupy the office/warehouse space April 1, signing a short-term lease for 4425-29 Mint Way. Phillip Rosenfeld of the Morse Co. in Dallas represented the tenant while Corbin Crews of Insignia/ESG's Dallas office handled talks for the building owner, Marquette Properties Inc.
Scott A. Morse, president, tells GlobeSt.com that the site search was kept to South Dallas communities to accommodate former SpectraSite employees plus keep the operation close to communication tower locations. The South Dallas move takes the operation from a freestanding office/warehouse in Cedar Hill to a leased site in the Redbird Industrial District. "It made a lot of sense for them to be there," Morse says.
Morse explains his firm, known predominately as a Telecom Corridor company, landed the contract as "a byproduct" of prior relationships with national and regional high-tech clients. WesTower Communications, owner of more than 7,000 towers, has its US headquarters in Portland.
