Riverwoods, IL-based Podolsky Northstar Realty Partners represented Podco Concourse LLC and will take over leasing and management of the property. It marks a return for Podolsky Northstar, which leased and managed the property about 20 years ago.
The strategy is likely to include filling the buildings with smaller tenants rather than finding a heavy-hitter to replace Anixter, whose departure will reduce occupancy from 95% to 55%.
"Concourse Office Plaza is not a traditional, big tenant building," says Podolsky Northstar principal John Homsher. "With floorplates from 12,000 sf, this property is best-suited for entrepreneurial and professional services firms; lawyers, doctors, CPAs and consultants."
The office building is part of a development that includes a 378-room Doubletree Hotel and the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.
