The new company is merely another step in a partnership that has seen the two principals spend more than $400 million on 18 million sf over the last 20 years. They also have brokered properties for HSA Commercial Real Estate, Lincoln Property and CB Richard Ellis. Manofsky was the first recipient of the prestigious Chicago Greater Food Depository's "Industrial Broker of the Year" award in 1989, which was won two years later by Luby.

True North Investments will be looking for deals east of the Mississippi River. "We look for both industrial redevelopment opportunities where additional value can be created and capitalization rate investment transactions," Manofsky explains.
