The seven new Cushman & Wakefield hires include Phil Lombardo and Ron Heim, who have been named executive directors, with 21-year industry veteran Lombardo heading the Inland Empire office while 25-year veteran Heim will focus on the San Gabriel Valley, North Orange County and the Inland Empire. Elizabeth Hurley joins Cushman & Wakefield as a senior director in Orange County, Steve Bohannon and Tom Sheets sign on as directors in the South Bay, and the remaining two new hires, Sean Austin and Sean Kern, join as associate directors in the Inland Empire.
CBRE's Lew Horne, executive managing director for Greater Los Angeles, comments that, "While some TCC brokers have opted to move to other firms, the brokers who are joining us are among the best," including corporate services professionals like Henry Johnson and Mike Scimo, who serve as co-national transaction managers for Tyco International, one of CBRE's largest accounts. Horne says the TCC merger is allowing CBRE to focus on its corporate services and asset services business throughout the region.
According to Vargas, the new hires provide "a tremendous boost to Cushman & Wakefield's brokerage services in the Western US." Lombardo will focus on expanding the company's institutional and corporate client base as well as identifying development opportunities. Hurley will focus on office tenant and landlord representation, Bohannon will specialize in industrial property transactions and Sheets will represent corporate and institutional office landlords and tenants in Greater Los Angeles area.
Lombardo was an EVP with Trammell Crow, where he was a principal overseeing the marketing of industrial property and sourcing development opportunities in the Inland Empire and Eastern Los Angeles, along with tenant representation transactions. Heim was an SVP and principal with Trammell Crow involved in marketing properties for major developers and owners.
Hurley was an SVP with Trammell Crow, while Bohannan was a VP and Sheets was an SVP. Austin focused on Eastern Los Angeles County/Inland Empire deals at TCC, where Kern specialized in the San Gabriel Valley, North Orange County and Inland Empire.
In addition to these seven new hires, seven other former TCC professionals have joined Cushman & Wakefield since the CBRE-TCC merger. Among these is Eric Hinkelman, who now manages the Orange County branch of Cushman & Wakefield.
