"Martin America selected Siemens because of the company's successful track record building other large-scale complexes throughout the U.S. with the most advanced technologies," says Troy Martin, CEO of Martin America. "Siemens understands our ambitious vision for Martin America Airpark to deliver a complete and turnkey office condominium solution where local business services intersect with global transportation and logistics solutions. Together with our other partners, we are confident Siemens' technologies will make Martin America Airpark a state-of-the-art showcase property."

Siemens will be building five million square feet of office space, which will include office condos, as well as one million square feet of residential condominiums. The project has been dubbed the Golden Mile.

According to reports, Sprint, Cisco, Rolls Royce, Gulfstream Aerospace, General Electric and Sikorsky Aerospace Services have all agreed to take space in the project.

The project should be large enough to hold 10,000 people. According to the company's release about the project, it will be "one of the nation's only office parks that combines professional building facility solutions with full-service transportation, hospitality, residential and healthcare services."
