INDIANAPOLIS-The Los Angeles-based Lee & Associates has entered another Midwest state. Harding Dahm & Co., a 27-year-old full-service firm based here, has switched allegiances from a 10-year affiliation with Grubb & Ellis.

The firm has been renamed Lee & Associates Indianapolis. The company, known for its retail representation, operates out of two offices: one here at 500 E. 96th St. and another at 3209 W. Smith Valley Rd. in Greenwood, IN.

Scot Courtney, formerly the president, principal and director of retail services of Harding Dahm, is president of the new 40-person firm. NAI Harding Dahm, based in Fort Wayne, IN, is not affected by this merger.

Courtney tells GlobeSt.com that the Lee group better met his vision of the future. “We like the company’s commitment to local representation,” he says. Lee, founded by real estate executive Bill Lee in 1979, operates as a group of an independently owned and operated companies.

This is the 41st new office for Lee & Associates, which just opened another branch in Atlanta in August. Edward Indvik, chairman of the Lee Advisory Board and vice chairman of the Lee & Associates Investment Services Group, said the new Midwest addition adds to other offices in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Missouri. “We...expect to have additional announcements about openings in the Midwest as well as other regions of the country in near future,” he said in a statement.
