
NORWOOD, MA-Virginia-based CarMax has bought a land parcel off Carnegie Row on Norwood's AutoMile for $20 million with plans to develop a showroom for housing 400 vehicles. The Patriot Ledger reported that the exiting the 115,000-square-foot building, which formerly housed Home Quarters Warehouse, will be torn down to make way for the new auto superstore.
The Ledger reported that CarMax has plans to employ almost 125 workers at the auto superstore. The company has only one dealership in Massachusetts in North Attleborough. For the full story, go to Boston Business Journal .
