New Apartment Complex to Replace Ben Milam Hotel

HOUSTON-The Houston Chronicle reported that the Finger Cos. is planning to demolish the Ben Milam Hotel, a 10-story property in downtown Houston, and replace it with an apartment complex.

HOUSTON-The Houston Chronicle reported that the Finger Cos. is planning to demolish the Ben Milam Hotel, a 10-story property in downtown Houston, and replace it with an apartment complex. Last week, the city of Houston gave a demolition permit for the downtown hotel.

The Finger Cos. has plans to develop an apartment complex with 380 units on the hotel site. The seven-story complex is being designed by Atlanta-based Niles Bolton Associates. Construction is expected to start this spring. For the full story, go to Houston Business Journal .
