PHILADELPHIA-Officials with La Salle University report that construction has begun on its new $35-million business school here.

The project, which will be finished in 2016, will relocate the existing business school from its current aging building to a site of a former Presbyterian Church up the street from LaSalle's original campus, according to university president Brother Michael McGinness.

The new 78,000-square-foot business school to be built near the university's nursing school will have a six-story component and a four-story section, according to CBS Philadelphia.

“Putting another big building further up towards the west side of campus will be a real statement for LaSalle, I think, about its intentions, its confidence in the neighborhood,” says McGinness. “It is taking us along Olney Avenue more than we have been.” See story at CBS Philadelphia.
