TOWSON, MD-As expected, the Baltimore County Council on Monday rejected $1 million in state funding for a proposed low-income housing development in Rosedale.

By rejecting the funding resolution the council sent a strong rebuke of the proposal by Annapolis-based Homes for America. The council voted 6-0 to reject the funding for the development, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Homes for America says it can't build the 45 townhouses and five single-family homes it had proposed to build at a 10-acre parcel on McCormick Ave. See story in the Baltimore Sun.
