MIAMI-The Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand has increased its market share on South Beach as The Angler's Boutique Resort has agreed to join the franchise.
San Francisco-based Kimpton announced on Thursday that it had taken over management of the 48-room The Angler's at 660 Washington Ave. effective immediately, according to the Miami Herald.
A planned expansion to add an 83-room tower, rooftop pool and a new lobby is scheduled to commence in 2014.
Kimpton took over management of the Surfcomber on Collins Avenue in 2011 and also manages the Epic hotel in downtown Miami and the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa. See story in the Miami Herald.
