The hot dog restaurateur has signed a 10-year lease at 609 Congress Ave., where it plans to open a 4,400-sf in a former men's clothing shop. The Central Business District shop is expected to open next month. Another four to six are in the works for Austin's future.

Company officials say the downtown Austin location is a natural since they specialize in food for people on the go, a profile that fits nearly all city workers. The move into Austin was precipitated by a flood of e-mails and telephone calls from hungry Austinites, say officials.
