AUSTIN-Popular home builder, Centex, is joining in Austin's land rush, buying 62 acres to construct more than 200 homes in the city's northeast sector. The city's tight housing market has triggered a building surge in the state's capital.
Construction is expected to get under way in the near future on more than 200 single-family homes in the Speyside subdivision. Galesi Group, the seller, was represented by John McCullough, president of JLM Land Co. JLM manages the development and marketing of Harris Branch.
