The five banks, which have a total of $87 million in deposits, will be operated as banks of First Prosperity Banks, the subsidiary of Prosperity Bancshares Inc. The deal gives First Prosperity Bank a total of 18 full-service banking locations in south and southeast Texas. Houston-based Prosperity Bancshares Inc., formed in 1983, is a bank holding company.
