CHARLOTTE-Granite Development's 200,000-sf Callabridge Landing on 48 acres and Callabridge Commons, a smaller center on seven acres, are expected to break ground by year end in northwest Mecklenburg County.
Granite paid $5.2 million, or about $94,545 per acre ($2.17 per sf), for the dirt. No leases have been signed. The developer is still negotitating for an anchor. Granite has been planning the project for two years.
