When all phases of the project are complete, the condominium will contain about 800,000 sf of space. The project is slated for ground-breaking in the spring of 2001. Chateau Raveneaux, designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects of Houston, will have an exterior of beige plaster and blue-tinted glass.

The project is located 20 miles northwest of Downtown Houston and is designed to appeal to empty-nesters in the suburbs who no longer want to maintain homes with large lawns. The trend for townhouses and condominiums has been growing in the Houston area, attracting the aging Baby Boomer population, young professionals and couples with no children. The Greenwood Corp. has developed a number of large residential projects in northwest Houston, including the 2,700-acre Greenwood Forest and the 1,800-acre Champion Forest.
