The center, to be called University Place, will open in the fall of 2001. Located at the corner of 70th and Youree Streets, it will be designed by CDA Architects of Houston. Sun Builders of Houston is the general contractor. Weingarten owns approximately 200 shopping centers and approximately 50 industrial properties.
