The headquarters relocation will be home port for up to 150 new hires over the next two to three years. The two-year-old Expanets, which provides telecommunications and computer consulting equipment and services to small and medium-sized businesses, will immediately recruit 30 to 40 people. The Meridian headquarters is in the same vicinity as Expanets' regional office, which services seven states.

Denver had been in competition with Boston, Dallas and Atlanta for the headquarters relocation. Meridian is the largest business park in the metro region. But, another contributing factor most likely was the firm's CEO, Jim Walker, who owns a home in the city's tony Castle Pines development, situated south of the business park.
