Opponents also charge that the complex is going to be bigger than it's supposed to be. Applied is going up 13 floors instead of the original 11, but company officials say they will keep to the original height of 125 feet. The project will have 522 apartment and 60,000 sf of retail and office space.
Hoboken human services director Robert Drasheff has called a meeting on Oct. 16 of all parties, including "every engineer on the project." Applied has also asked OSHA to send someone to take a look at the site and report on health issues.
