Sundance spokesman Grove Hummert says Alaska Airlines has signed a 10-year lease for the building, and has an option to buy. Alaska Airlines Spokesperson Jack Walsh says one of key considerations in selecting Boise as the site for the new center is the high availability of labor.
The airline also wanted to choose a city it currently services so employees will be able to take advantage of travel benefits, says Walsh. The state of Idaho is providing Alaska Airlines with a grant to assist with the training of new employees.
