Trammell Crow's staff will spend the rest of this week--and possibly the weekend--packing up belongings for the relocation into 22,455 sf. Trammell Crow holds the long-term leasing and management contract for building owner, WXI/SEN Real Estate Ltd., which bought it three years ago from Trammell Crow.
Eighty-five of the office's 145 employees will be moved into the space. Stan Erwin, Trammell Crow's managing director, says the extra space is sorely needed to accommodate this past year's 25% staffing increase. With the new space comes better parking conditions, he says.
Cap Gemini Ernst & Young has signed for 10,000 sf of the more than 17,000 sf being vacated by Trammell Crow at the Temple Inland Building. Bill Gump, the Crescent Real Estate broker handling 301 Congress, tells GlobeSt.com that he is still looking for a taker for the remaining space, which is going for $37 per sf.
The relocations for Trammell Crow and Ernst & Young, now officing at the CBD's Chase Bank Building, mean expansions for both entities. Trammell Crow's new office at 400 W. 15th St. will be up and running bright and early Monday morning. There are 170 Trammell Crow offices in the US and Canada.
