The law firm is one of the largest tenants at the 1.7-million sf office tower, where gross rent is going for $19 to $20 per sf. Winstead, Sechrist & Minick has been at tenant at the class-A property for 12 years, Carl Ewert, executive vice president and one of two Staubach Co. brokers who handled the deal, told GlobeSt.com. The firm has more than 260 attorneys in offices in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, Austin and Mexico City.
The 26-year-old Renaissance Tower had been renovated in 1991 and is 95% leased, according to Mike Pierre, TrizecHahn vice president. The 56-story property is one of 17 in the Toronto-based corporation's Texas portfolio. Staubach has represented the law firm in the lease renewal while a TrizecHahn in-house broker has acted on the owner's behalf.
