West Plains, zoned for mixed-use, is located one-half mile from the Spokane International Airport. The primary partner in Granite is Spokane-based Vandervert Construction, a prominent figure in the area's real estate market. Lowell McKee, a partner in Granite, tells GlobeSt.com that the LLC is raising approximately $6 million from private investors in first-round money for the West Plaines development. Other plans for the campus include office space and high-tech/biotech facilities.
