Atkins, currently CEO, also will be serving as chairman. He replaces Charles R. Hoffman, who is retiring after seven years of leading the company.

The company also has elected Jerry J. Tepper as a director. Tepper, 63, is president of Tepco Inc., a privately held real estate investment company. He also is president of CF Group Ltd., a privately held investment company in the retail food business and president of Schoenberg Farms Inc., a dairy products company. At Schoenberg, Tepper also is the company's largest single shareholder, owning more than 10% of the common stock. Before he formed Tepco, Tepper had been a director of Citizens Bank in Westminster, a suburb northwest of Denver. Last year, Vectra Bank purchased Citizens Bank.
