The company also offers nine smart technology conference rooms, for use free by all the tenants of the building, and an ECafe, where building tenants can sip free coffee and use their laptops to full potential, she said.These new technological offerings have brought immense value to the building owners, Hoover said. "We've leased out 200,000-sf since the company went online in April," she says. "Detroit doesn't have the best real estate market in the nation, but we're able to bring in companies that dont want to have to pay for 1,000-sf of extra conference room space."
The rooms and their amenities are free to all the tenants of the building. The companies leasing out the offered offices are mostly dot-com start-ups and satellite companies, including SalesStarter.com and BenefitSource1.com."PurchasePro.com is actually based out of Las Vegas, they just have a satellite office here," she says.
All three floors are 100% leased, she says, so the company has decided to add another 10,000-sf floor to their offering. "These small, one-two person offices each are offered with a flexible one-year lease with lenient financial requirements, for the start-up company that doesnt have a lot of background to begin with," she says. "There's nothing else quite like it in Detroit, it's been very successful.
