"This expansion is another example of a business being attracted to Stamford because it offers easy access to Manhattan," Mowers and DeLucia noted. "Any business expanding in South Stamford has been facing a tight market in which there is only an 8% availability in Class A properties reported in the third quarter (2000) as opposed to a 16.1% reported just last year in that period. Sublease opportunities, therefore, can provide immediate relief to growing businesses."
NYFIX will expand on the eighth floor of the building where it already is housed in 10,000 sf of space. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Cushman & Wakefeild Inc. represented Metromedia International Telecommunications Inc., the sub-lesser in the transaction.
