The original three-story building was built in the mid-40s, with a 33,700-sf one-story addition tacked on in 1984. A division of Goodrich had occupied the entire building since 1991; Goodrich's Design Engineering Group, Simmonds Precision Motor Controls Division, has now leased the one-floor addition on a long-term basis.
Wellsford plans to do a major upgrade on the facility to reposition it for multi-tenant use. When the new build-out is finished by this summer, spaces of between 15,000 and 50,000 sf will be available. Colliers Houston has been given the assignment of leasing the remaining space.
