In the next three to six months, offices will open in Munich, London and Paris and most likely in that order, Dave Malmstedt, Kernel Group vice president, told GlobeSt.com. "We are going to open as quickly as possible," he says. Within two weeks, the company will open a Singapore office.

The company also is looking for larger space to house its Austin headquarters, he told GlobeSt.com. The software solutions provider currently occupies slightly less than 10,000 sf at 1250 S. Capital of Texas Hwy. A contract has just been inked with the Austin office of The Staubach Co. to find 20,000 sf to 25,000 sf. "We are looking everywhere," says Malmstedt. "We certainly like the 360 Loop where we are now, but we wouldn't narrow it to that."

The European inroad is being launched with executive suite space in office buildings in the target markets, according to Malmstedt. In the next year, the Kernel Group plans to employ 120 to 135 people worldwide. The Austin headquarters staff of 48 is expected to double when new space is found, says the senior VP.

"Our overseas expansion in both market share and physical presence is a significant development for our growing company," Sol Suberi, Kernel Group's CEO, says in a prepared statement.
