"We are adding a Wyndham property at one of the busiest airports in the country," notes Wyndham chairman/CEO Fred Kleisner. Newark International currently ranks as the 10th busiest airport in the country, ahead of the other two major airports in the NY/NJ region, JFK and LaGuardia.

"It will also be an important addition to our presence in New Jersey," says Kleisner. Existing Wyndham properties in the Garden State are located in Mount Laurel, Mount Olive, Bridgewater, Morristown, Whippany, Princeton and Somerset.

When finished, the Elizabeth/Newark property will include 18,000 sf of meeting space, according to Wyndham VP of design, Dawn Cullen. It will also have a concierge floor, lounge, business center, spa and fitness center and, most likely, a Shula's Steak 2 restaurant.
