The store is offering jogging suits, jeans, sweaters and shirts and hopes to add accessories. Owners Norma Rand and Larry Collins are debuting the store by hosting events and autograph sessions. They hope to open other locations.
On the up side of a downward spiral, the Hit or Miss clothing store chain is closing 55 of its 197 stores after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Stoughton, Massachusetts-based company has two area locations--one at City Center Square, 1100 Main St., and another in the Watts Mill shopping center on 103rd Street between State Line and Wornall Roads. Neither are scheduled to close.
