Mission West concentrates upon Silicon Valley and estimates that it currently owns 89 properties. During the fourth quarter, the company bought two research and development properties – one in Fremont and the other in San Jose. The two – bought for a total of $35 million - added 174,810 sf of rentable space to Mission West's estimated 6.2-million-sf portfolio.
In afternoon trading Friday, shares of Mission West were trading at $13.95, off 5 cents from Thursday's close, but less than $1 off its 52-week high of $14.68, achieved Nov. 9, 2000. It's 52-wek low came in February of that year, when shares traded for as little as $7.50.
