The NEC America Corporate Center sits on 14 acres of a 25-acre site at 6555 N. Texas 161, where dirt has been flying since August 1999. To date, NEC has not initiated any expansion talks with developer, the Archon Group, for the balance of the land, GlobeSt.com has been told.
NEC holds the distinction of being one of the community's oldest corporate residents, having set up shop in 1978. The project represents NEC America's commitment to the US telecommunications market, says Robert Kimbrell, NEC's general manager.
BOKA Powell has designed the state-of-the-art campus and Manhattan Construction has served as general contractor.
