The firm has taken 3,500 sf in the recently completed southwestern Austin structure as it eyes more space for its growth and more finished buildings in the business park. "We just put them into some space to get them started," Sue Gravett, a Henry S. Miller Commercial broker, has told GlobeSt.com. UK Protek is in the hiring mode and plans to take its seven-employee staff to 50 by year's end, she says. The office services UK Protek's US and Latin America operations.
The Preserve's owner has city signoffs on a site plan that would allow another four or five office buildings. Gravett has represented the tenant, with Lee Combs of the Emerson Group acting on the owner's behalf.

In the past week, UK Protek has named a general manager for its Americas division and two vice presidents to oversee sales initiatives in North, South and Central America. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, it also has offices in Norway, South Africa, Russia, Italy, Southeast Asia and South America.
