No permits were issued for new hospitals, schools or churches. The remaining 51 permits were issued in the remodeling/miscellaneous category.
These totals compare to 68 commercial construction permits issued last January. Of the 68, 14 were for new construction and the remaining fell into the remodel/miscellaneous category.
