Westwave, a locally based developer of call control and signaling software for the telecommunications industry, occupied a 40,000 sf building in the park last September. Now it is having a second 40,000-sf building constructed to house the company's expanding workforce.
Boulder, CO-based Network Photonics, a developer of optical network solutions for telecom service providers, used Oak Valley to open its first Santa Rosa office in July 2000. To handle expected future growth, the company is now adding to that space with another 16,000 sf that it will take over in March to become the sole occupant of the building.
Oak Valley Business Park is located at 463 Aviation Boulevard, near the Sonoma County Airport. The expansions reflect a growing trend among telecom companies to establish themselves in the Santa Rosa area – increasingly attractive for its space availability, relatively low rents and available work force.
The Westwave project will be the third of five office buildings at Oak Valley. The fourth, which will span 27,000 sq. ft., will be ready for occupancy this summer and is available now for tenant leasing.
