Goldstein says this is a particularly interesting deal and coming "at a time when dot-coms are struggling." Goldstein adds that Petrocosm had been attracted to the building's infrastructure that is more conducive to the needs of a high-tech company. And, it's relatively new, he says. The two-year-old, 20-story, 503,000-sf building offers redundant telephone and communication service, up to eight watts per sf of electrical power and fiber-optic connectivity. The building even has a specially designed rooftop for microwave and satellite antennas, including directional line-of-site transmission.
Petrocosm uses its online services to pair buyers and sellers throughout the energy supply chain. Petrocosm also has offices in London, Aberdeen, Mumbai, Calgary and Singapore.
