The company develops planar integrated DWDM components for optical networks. Its new facilities will include research and development labs, office space and assembly and test facilities where Clarendon plans on doing initial pilot production.
The recent infusion of equity combined with the growing demand for bandwidth makes the company hopeful that it can grow from a start-up to a manufacturer of telecommunications components. The company is currently investing in acquiring new technical talent for its research and development and for its packaging and reliability testing of its devices. Clarendon's investors include Sevin Rosa Funds, New Enterprise Associates, Vortex Partners and Ampersand Ventures.
