The company hopes to open the top floor of its store this weekend if earthquake repairs can be completed. It reportedly took workers just a day to clean up the cosmetic damage to the inside of the building, but the damage to the walls was severe enough that they had to be reinforced.

Most of the damage occurred to walls on the still-closed top floor, which houses the Bon's Homeworld, which sells bedding, linens and household appliances. The damage is being attributed in part to the fact that Southcenter Mall sits on filled swampland. The Bon says it has not yet totaled the cost of the damage.
