Veigle has instructed his lawyer, Steve Mason, to petition the 5th District Court of Appeal in Daytona Beach, FL today to have his revoked adult-entertainment license restored in suburban Casselberry where his Rachel's club has been a landmark of sorts for 25 years. Rachel's operates out of a two-story, 20,000-sf structure in Seminole County, five miles from Downtown Orlando.

Veigle is appealing Seminole Circuit Judge Debra S. Nelson's Mar. 15 ruling. She denied the restoration of the license because the city hadn't violated the property owner's First Amendment rights. Veigle claims it has.

The club remains in business but dancers no longer disrobe. Casselberry law enforcement agents charge Rachel's was a haven for prostitution and illegal drug activity. Veigle himself has never been arrested or charged on the allegations. He vehemently denies the charges.
