A subsidiary of Newell Rubbermaid Inc., Sanford will use the new building on a 13.4-acre site for distribution and warehousing. The company, which markets pens, pencils, markets, professional art supplies and other writing instruments, maintains its headquarters in west suburban Bellwood.

Mike Fonda, Hugh Williams, Brendan Kelly and Suzanne Serino of Cushman & Wakefield represented Sanford, which has manufacturing plants in Tennessee as well as Canada, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Venezuela. Project executive John Evans supervised construction for Kajima. Sparks Architects provided architectural services.
