It's a chance for bricks to meet clicks in the rapidly evolving world of high-tech solutions and e-commerce. Realcomm 2001 is being touted as the largest such conference to date. It is expected to draw representatives from all sectors, including the likes of Wall Street investors. Up to 4,000 professionals are expected to attend the two-day event, which will be highlighted by the presentation of the third annual "Digie" Awards to leaders who have been instrumental in driving technological changes for the industry.
The Realcomm 2001 conference and trade show will feature 50 educational sessions, more than 200 vendors and 16 innovative high-tech showcases. A summit also will be held on data standards for all facets of commercial real estate.
Jim Young, The Jamesan Group's president and event co-founder, says "this is the first time that a full cross section of commercial real estate associations are banding together around one industry conference." And, he says "it's a good sign that a growing number of the industry's leaders are harnessing technology as a way to improve their business."
Realcomm is the creation of The Jamesan Group of Carlsbad, CA and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, based in Washington, DC. Registration is available through the Web site.
