Automation Alley is situated in an area along I-75 to the north and south of high-tech, office-heavy city of Auburn Hills. It's recognized as one of the nation's newest and fastest growing technology clusters.
The organization's goal is to attract a technologically advanced workforce. With the grant, Automation Alley will open a college placement office in Troy, MI. The office will start a direct mail campaign that includes posters with the organization web site address and follow-up phone calls from a staff member.
Additionally, the organization will use the grant to advertise in competitive national markets and in select Michigan alumni publications as well as adding more regional newspapers to their media budget.
