The four-year-old firm officially closed at the start of this week. Lob tells GlobeSt.com that the decision had been made because his partner, Daniel Dobric, and his family have decided to return to Scottsdale, AZ.
Lob says he had considered operating the boutique commercial real estate firm single-handedly then decided he wanted to be able to deliver services via a national platform once again. The 17-year veteran says he will continue to service his 30 clients from L&D Realty in his new role at Grubb & Ellis. About half of his time will be spent working on a team that's dedicated to national corporate accounts.
"Since I want my business to expand to include more national and corporate accounts, I am delighted to be part of a national company providing a comprehensive range of transaction services as well as offering a sophisticated technological platform throughout its infrastructure," Lob says in a prepared statement. He is one of seven senior vice presidents in the firm's Dallas office.
